First, Security for Email Servers blocks viruses and other email threats from incoming and outgoing mail and from being stored on your email servers.  Even if you already have a layer of email security at the perimeter of your network, you must have a second layer security on your email servers to prevent viruses from traversing your internal network and to detect viruses that might have slipped past your perimeter defenses and are now hiding on your email servers, waiting to explode.

Second, McAfee Security for Email Servers blocks spam with the optionally licensed anti-spam module.

• Enforce compliance.  Filter messages based on size, attachment type, or message content. Block or quarantine messages that contain specific words or phrases in the subject line, message body, or attachments.  Ensure compliance with corporate email policies by adding disclaimers.
