By deploying the Mirapoint RazorSafe solution with the Mirapoint Message Server and RazorGate appliances, you can:
Only the Mirapoint RazorGate and/or Mirapoint Message Server offer special email archiving journal interfaces.
Once activated, a variety of e-discovery filters can be applied to these interfaces to journal only specific types of messages or to place messages with differing content or headers into different secure folder locations.
Next, one or more RazorSafes log into these journal folders at a pre-set interval and collect the messages for indexing via a POP client interface.
Then, messages indexed and stored in the email archiving message base are backed up to tape at a regular interval (typically nightly) automatically, and secured using private 256-bit encryption.
Finally, the original messages are deleted from the archival folder, completing the email archiving and e-discovery process.
Many standards based clients that integrate seamlessly with the Mirapoint server including Active Directory. Authentication to Active Directory or other LDAP server is done using the standard bind process wherein user credentials are presented to Active Directory for authentication. For Active Directory, this authentication can be done either in cleartext or encrypted, however users must authenticate using 128-bit encryption in order to change their passwords, which is a supported method on the Mirapoint system.
Mirapoint also offers an applianced based LDAPv3-compliant directory server that works seamlessly with Mirapoint appliances and other applications.

Mirapoint appliances are each built for redundancy and optimal availability. Mirapoint appliances have field proven 99.999% uptime. Each appliance is built with hot-swappable RAID protected disks (& controllers with battery backup), redundant hot swappable power supplies, and redundant cooling fans. There are self-help knowledge bases and help screens built in to the admin interface (both command line and web). When an active 24X7 support contract is in place 30 minute support response time is committed, free software upgrades are provided, and there is free hardware replacement. Mirapoint provides support via email and phone. Mirapoint also has the MERT team (Mirapoint Emergency Response Team) as part of standard support. MERT has the ability, in a critical situation, to access your box via a secure connection, diagnose the problem, and quickly fix an issue for you.
Mirapoint provides a comprehensive list of training classes and online options for system administrators and help desk personnel.
