SecurMail

SecurMail from SecurEnvoy has been designed to meet the challenges of sending
email to any recipient securely over the web.

SecurMail enables individuals to send and receive email across the internet using
standards based https and strong two-factor authentication of the recipient. The two
factors involved are a pickup URL emailed to the recipient and a passcode sent to their
mobile phone. Users can send secure email to any of their contacts without requiring
them to pre-register. SecurMail also enables the recipient to reply with the same level of
security.

SecurMail is simple to use. Once installed, users simply press the ‘send secure’ button in
their Microsoft Outlook tool bar. The sensitive portion of the email and any attachment is
uploaded to a secure server via an encrypted https connection, and the recipient will
receive an email with a URL link to their message.

At the same time an SMS message containing a single-use passcode is sent to the
recipient’s mobile phone via an encrypted GSM connection. The recipient’s mobile
number is looked up from the sender’s address book, or the sender is prompted for it
where the number is not stored.
